DOWNLOAD PROCESS
1. Know Your Computer - There are different Readers for different computers. You need to know the type of computer and operating system you have to download the Reader which is best for you. There are also different versions of the Reader. Adobe's Web site helps you to sort through this,
2. Link to Adobe - Use the button above to link to the Adobe Reader download page.
3. Answer Questions - To choose the correct Reader for your computer, Adobe will ask you which computer platform and operating system you are using. They will also ask you what is your connection speed: dial-up or broadband.
4. Confirm - Adobe confirms the version of the Reader it chooses for you, and provides a download button. It is generally best to download the "full" version.
5. Download - Press the download button. Adobe will download a compressed version of the Adobe Reader Installer to your computer.
6. Decompress - Open the compressed Installer. If you have a decompression program, such as Stuffit or Zipit, it will automatically decompress the Installer. If you don't have a version that will decompress the Installer file, you may need to update your decompression program, by going to their Web site and downloading a newer version.
7. Close Browser - Your browser must be shut down before the Reader Installer program can be used.
8. Install - Open the decompressed Reader Installer program. Choose the folder where Reader will be installed. Choose the type of install; generally "Easy Install" works best. Click Install. The Installer creates a folder with Reader inside - and installs the PDF Viewer in your browser. Quit the Installer.
9. Open PDF Documents - You should now have what you need to view PDF documents online and open them on your computer.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
If the Reader version which Adobe automatically selected for you works poorly on your computer, you can select the "Adobe Reader archive page" link at the bottom of the download page to access a list of older Reader versions. If your computer has limited memory, an older version may help, because they generally use less memory, however, the documents on this site require version 5 or higher.
